HEADLINES: Community Learning Programme

_As part of the ongoing series of tribal community learning proogramme designed by the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), the thirteenth group consisting three resource persons and twenty five students from the Sangtam community have successfully completed the training programme on October 5, 2014.

_The programme was initiated to address the challenges posed by the advent of modernity and the resultant impact created in the society, especially on the urban youth. The training programme culminated in a simple function at North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) where the students shared their experiences as to how they have been benefitted from such a creative training. Shri _Talinokcha, Joint Director, spoke on behalf of the Director, North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), and gave away the certificates to the participants. He also thanked the resource persons for their support and cooperation extended in making the training programme a success.  _In this series, the next group of three experts and twenty five students from the Yimchunger community would commence the learning programme for the next ten days beginning from October 6, 2014  in the same venue.

HEADLINES: Discover the North East of India at Namchi, Sikkim
Detail:

A three day long Discover the North East of India was organized by NEZCC at Namchi , Sikkim  in collaboration with Cultural Affairs and Heritage Department, Government of Sikkim from September 24 & 26, 2014. Participants from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and Manipur and Jharkhand presented a colourful extravagance folk dance from their respective culture.
